Students for Justice in Palestine-- who're having their weekly meetings in Wheeler this semester-- are ready to fight Administration charges.

They plan to meet with representatives from Student Judicial Affairs in the next two weeks to determine if a settlement can be reached between the students and the university. If no settlement can be reached, case-by-case hearings will be held for the students.

Members of the group will be represented by the National Lawyers Guild and UC Berkeley's Student Advocate Office.

But many of the group members accused of violating the conduct code do not want a settlement with the university and may prefer holding a full hearing, said group member Hoang Phan.

Strangely, the article quotes Student Advocate Rafeedie extensively but never mentions that she's been involved with SJP in the past. It's not a conflict of interest, but it is newsworthy.Email This Post!
