Rocky Gets His Day in Court
AAVP Rocky Gade finally had to face the judicial council because of that whole "not being a real student" thing. The weird thing about all of this is the defense he apparently brought up, as described in the Daily Cal article: But Gade’s council, Andrew Garvin of the Student Advocate Office, argued that Gade’s resignation would be a breach of the ASUC’s autonomy from the university, and that the “motivation of the suit is in bad faith” because Royer was acting on doubts voiced only by university administrators. Was there more to it, or did Gade's defense really amount to not disputing the charge, but attacking the people who called him out on it? Furthermore, I don't even buy the argument that because this matter was noticed by "university administrators" it should be ignored, and I don't think the judicial council will either. More on this if I find out there were some other defense strategies presented... (Any readers attend the hearing?)Email This Post! |
