ASUC Finally Approves Online Elections
Maybe as big a story as the new budget is the ASUC's approval of online elections for next year. This project has been several years in the works, and passed very contentiously. Some provisions: - A 7 minute delay between logging on and voting - No access from AirBears, ResComp Wireless, or computers in University Housing - Site is only available 10 AM - 4 PM Hopefully, as the system is tested this year, most of these kinks will be worked out. Also, hopefully, this will increase the mediocre voter turnout this campus has been having for the last few years (between 6800-8200 voters) Check out some nice quotes from me in the not-so-brief Daily Cal News In Brief.Email This Post! |
