Reverse Racism?

In response to his recent firing, ex-Vista CC President John Garmon is claiming that he is a victim of racial conspiracy against him by the Board of Trustees. Garmon is white, and five of the Trustees are African Americans.

The story is in the latest issue of the Berkeley Daily Planet.

My initial response is that this is a pretty weak and unsubstantial claim. Garmon's performance has been sub-par at best, as is attested to by members of Vista's staff. I don't see this going anywhere, but it will probably blow up some dust before it dies down.Email This Post!
