Lawrence W. Stark, professor of optometry and engineering, dies at 78

Dr. Lawrence W. Stark died in his home in Berkeley on Friday, October 22 of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Stark worked in the EECS, Mechanical Engineering, and Optometry departments here at Berkeley where he was developing theories on vision and virtual reality, including the scan path theory of perception.
