CalSERVE Courting Jewish Votes?
Some interesting data points:

• A bill supporting reinstating the study abroad program in Israel was left on the consent calendar, so that the full Senate would not have to vote on it. This means that CS Senators who opposed the bill wouldn't have an opportunity to vote against it. Since they knew it was going to pass anyway, it means that they wouldn't have to record a vote in opposition, which could hurt them in the election.
• Takruri's divestment bill was withdrawan, also sparing a debate on this sensitive subject, and making it unnecessary to record the stance of CS Senators on the issue. Takruri claims that the reaction she received from other Senators (i.e. mucho opposition) led her to believe that this wasn't a proper time to introduce the bill.
  
• CS is trying to slate Danya Rosen, member of IAC, for Senate this year.
