University Medal Awarded
People Around Campus Ask, "They Give That To History Majors?" This year's University Medal goes to Alejandra Dubcovsky, a history major who has specialized in analyzing and writing on letters composed by American slaves. She actually seems like an interesting person... - Moved to California from Argentina in the 9th grade (Is this still such a problem?) - Volunteers as a tutor at Emerson Elementary School - Has a fiance (eh, you can't sustain a social life on this schedule) Update: From Allen Profiles of the other finalists will be coming the following days. Here is the one for Tanguy Chau. In any event, Dubcovsky will speak at convocation, which puts her in competition with featured speaker Benjamin Barker for the most interesting person on stage.Email This Post! |
